Analyses of the effects of channel inclination and rotation on two-phase flow characteristics and pressure drop in a rectangular channel

•Experimental results for air-water flow in rectangular channel with AR = 1.08.•Channel inclinations between −90 and 90°, and rotation between 0 and 60°.•Increment of stratification effects with channel rotation.•Flow pattern identified subjective and objectively.•Effect of channel inclination and rotation on bubbles shapes.•Significant effect of flow pattern on pressure drop trends and values.•Coring effect during downward flows for dh = 6.24 mm.
