摘要
In this paper, nonlinear thermal analysis and optimisation of a convective-radiative longitudinal porous fin of functionally graded material is presented. The present work aims at characterisation of optimum parameters for heat transfer enhancement. The developed thermal models are solved using differential transform method. The effects of non-homogeneous index of functionally graded material, convective and radiative parameters on the thermal performance of the porous heatsink are investigated. Parametric study shows that increase in the non-homogeneous index of functionally graded material, convective and radiative parameter improve the thermal efficiency of the porous fin heat sink. The result of the present solution is validated using establishedapproximate analytical and numerical solutions. It is hoped that the results of the present study would assist in the design of thermally-efficient cooling approaches for various consumer electronics.
