摘要
The importance of a Prosthetic Arm can only be realized by a handicapped person. But these arms are not easy to make., commonly don't have multiple degree of freedom., complex to use and costly. That's why this project intended to make a prosthetic arm that can be made easily with degree of freedom close to real hand., user friendly and cost efficient. Here., Degree of Freedom is the number of independent parameters in a mechanical system. It defines the freedom of movement in system. The chassis of the hand was made by 3D printing technology which removed complexity of production. Chassis was made mimicking an actual hand to give maximum degree of freedom. The hand can be operated by flex sensor which can mimic the movement of other functional hand. The sensor will send data to the servo motors that will be moving the fingers of the prosthetic arm as like as the functional arm., which makes it user friendly. Again., an LM35 sensor was used in the hand which can send heat sensation feedback to a Peltier plate that makes user to feel the heat sensation like an actual arm. The whole project was made with locally and commonly available materials which made successfully a cost efficient one.
