摘要

•Both hindering effect and wake accelerating effect were included in the drag correction.•Bubble columns (BCs) were simulated by CFD-PBM with the new drag model.•Drag correction should be based on both local gas holdup and bubble size distribution.•CFD-PBM with the new drag model can simulate BCs well at complex conditions.
