We propose and experimentally demonstrate substantial suppression of the wavelength drift of a 10-Gb/s burst-mode directly-modulated laser for TWDM-PON upstream transmission by using an integrated heater for thermal compensation reducing the drift by 4.6 times to 5 GHz.
