摘要
The integration of photovoltaic sources to conventional grid and increased utilization of nonlinear loads yield major power quality issues in the distribution system. Such power quality issues are commonly reduced by photovoltaic fed distributed static compensator (PV-DSTATCOM). In this paper, a comparative analysis of the PV-DSTATCOM performance for different controllers is shown. The controllers used for power quality improvement are instantaneous reactive power theory (IRP), modified instantaneous reactive power theory (MIRP) and IcosΦ algorithm. To verify the robustness of different controllers to load change, load unbalancing and non-ideal supply voltage conditions, the PV-DSTATCOM is simulated with nonlinear load, linear load, unbalanced load and thyristor load under ideal and as well as distorted supply voltage conditions. Furthermore an experimental setup has been developed to ratify the performance of the controllers with practical constraints.
