摘要
•The study aims to understand correlation between geomagnetic storms and greenline airglow in thermosphere.•The volume emission rate of airglow emission has been calculated using a photochemical model.•The modeled VER shows a positive correlation with the Dst index.•The VER shows a negative correlation with neutral number densities.•Peak emission altitude doesn’t show variation during geomagnetic storms.
