Simultaneous determination of seven preservatives in food by dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

•DLLME-GC–MS method was applied to analysis of seven preservatives in food.•Quantitative calibration using internal standard provides good method stability.•Simultaneous determination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic preservatives.•Method is simple, reliable, time-saving and environmentally friendly.
