Optic Radiation Diffusion Tensor Imaging Tractography: An Alternative and Simple Technique for the Accurate Detection of Meyer's Loop

•A better definition of optic radiations is needed for research and surgical purposes.•An alternative DTI fiber tracking procedure for the optic radiation is described.•The method focuses particularly on the localization of Meyer's loop.•Results are compared with anatomy and with the standard tracking technique.•Our tracking method is easy to perform and accurate in detecting Meyer's loop.
