摘要

•We screened subjects with histories of asbestos exposure using low-dose CT.•Lung cancer was detected in 2.1% and malignant pleural mesothelioma in 0.3%.•The prevalence of lung cancer was significantly higher in former/current smokers.•LC prevalence was significantly higher in patients with both emphysema and fibrotic changes: 4.0% versus 1.8%.
