•Hierarchical rasterized Planar Face Complex (hPFC) encodes topology of planar graph using a few bits per pixel.•hPFC encodes pixel-quantized vertex and curved edge geometry.•Improves on prior rPFC by increasing resolution adaptively.•Irregular hierarchical grid allows to reduce the storage cost.
