Two New Stachane Diterpenoids from the Bark of Ptychopetalum olacoides

Phytochemical constituents investigation of the bark of Ptychopetalum olacoides led to the isolation of two new stachane diterpenoides, named stach-15-en-12α-ol-3-one ( 1 ) and stach-15-en-12β-ol-3-one ( 2 ). The structures of 1 and 2 were elucidated by analyzing spectroscopic data and comparing their NMR data with those of the previously reported compound 1a . The bioassay experiment indicated that compounds 1 and 2 exhibited weak neurite outgrowth-promoting activity on PC12 cells at the concentration of 30 μM.
