摘要
The paper presents a case study on how older adults' interactive art making activities improve their quality of life. Research has shown that art-making is an effective way of working with older adults to combat social and health-related issues. We conducted a case study of the interactive art workshop for eight weeks at a local art council. The art workshop consisted of three major activities that integrated with simple interactive techniques: interactive sound painting, light-up card, and interactive soft object. Overall, participants were very engaged throughout all activities. We found that interactive technology in art/crafts activities held great potential for positively engaging older adults and significantly improving their daily lives by inspiring creativity and self-expression, fostering collaborations and intergenerational relationships.
