摘要
The CROME experiment has been designed for a measurement of microwave signals emitted by extensive air showers. It has been fully operational since May 2011 in cooperation with the KASCADE-Grande experiment. A signal in the extended C band range (3.4-4.2 GHz) is read out for every trigger provided by KASCADE-Grande. Due to the air shower reconstruction by KA.SCADE-Grande we could analyse all events crossing the field of view of the CROME antennas. Clear microwave signal was measured for twenty cosmic ray showers over one year of measurement. The detector setup and its performance are described in this proceeding. We provide details also about test and calibration measurements, which have provided a detailed knowledge of our detector. We conclude by showing microwave pulses measured by CROME for extensive air showers above 10(16.5) eV.
