Bladder Preservation by Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy followed by Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy with Gemcitabine in Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (MIBC)

Aim: Chemoradiotherapy is increasingly becoming the treatment of choice for bladder preservation in MIBC. A phase II study has shown that conformal hypofractionated radiotherapy with concurrent gemcitabine (GemX) is effective and well tolerated. The purpose of this study was to assess the tolerability of GemX following neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
