摘要
•We developed a novel task for studying belief tracking online.•People track others’ beliefs about object locations in parallel with their own beliefs.•They do so automatically, regardless of whether there is an explicit objective reason to do so.•People demonstrate a strong egocentric belief bias when own and others’ beliefs are equally valid.•We show the presence of an automatic and a deliberate belief tracking systems within a single task.
