Illuminations from the experience in computer science education at foreign universities

Computer science education has become a hot topic short after the invention of computer. Since in the 21st century, the global informatization based on computer technology has been developed to such an extent that its meaning has gone far beyond a simple technology revolution and industrial development. The degree of informatization of a country directly determines its economic status and comprehensive national strength. As a result, the computer science education in our country, especially at the college-level, is facing new challenge and high demand. For the purpose of improving the informatization level of our country, the computer science education experience of developed country is introduced in this paper, and at last, a short conclusion is made to provide reference. ©2010 IEEE.
