Video Mail Retrieval by Voice: An Overview of the Cambridge/Olivetti Retrieval System

This paper describes current work on a video andaudio document retrieval project at Cambridge Univer-sity and Olivetti Research Limited (ORL). The projectseeks to integrate state-of-the-art text retrieval methodswith high-performance word spotting to yield a robustand efficient video mail retrieval system.
