Energie- und ortsabhängigkeit der ansprechwahrscheinlichkeit diskreter und kontinuierlicher sekundärekektronenvervielfacher für 5–50 keV-elektronen

The particle detection properties of an open electron multiplier with discrete dynodes (SEV 117) and of a continuous electron multiplier (Channeltron CEM 4010, without funnel) have been studied with electrons in the energy range between 5 and 50 keV. The detection probability of the discrete electron multiplier has been measured to be ε = 58.5% for 5 keV electrons and ε = 14.3% for 50 keV electrons. The corresponding values for the channeltrons are ε = 79.6% and ε = 42.1%, respectively.
