摘要
Subcutaneous fat necrosis of the newborn is a rare condition recognized clinically by the presence of erythematous, firm, well-circumscribed subcutaneous nodules that appear in healthy full-term to post-term infants with perinatal complications. We report a case of subcutaneous fat necrosis (SFN) on the newborn where the use of fine-needle aspiration of one of the lesions has been an important alternative to biopsy for the diagnosis to be made.
