SW3A: Web-Based System for Academic Assessment and Follow-Up

This work presents the development of a Web based system for Academic Assessment and Follow-up which is being developed for allowing educational institutions to manage both the application of eval uation processes of the teaching activities and the pedago gic follow-up of their courses. This system will make i t possible to collect the students' opinion about the disciplines, teachers and other subjects related to teaching. This system will also make possible to pu blish to the Internet the data related to the lessons pla ns, grades and class attendance of the offered discipli nes. These characteristics are created to help Course Co uncils in developing evaluation processes and planning act ivities in order to assure the quality of teaching. The sys tem is being developed to be distributed under a GPL licen se.
