I've received my Ph.D from Seoul National University in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Sang-goo Lee. My Ph.D thesis is entitled “A Heterogeneous Graph-based Framework for Hybrid Recommender Systems”. In early days, I was interested in context-aware systems and lifelog systems. Recently, I'm more interested in dealing with large-scale heterogeneous data (including contextual information) for recommender systems. More specifically, I'm working on flexible context-aware recommender systems by taking graph-based approaches. I've had many experiences of dealing with large-scale real datasets and co-working with various companies. So far, I have published a number of papers related to recommender systems, context-aware and lifelong systems in various leading conferences such as CIKM, RECSYS, WWW, and ISWC. Currently, I am working as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at Biomedical Science and Engineering Center, Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I am participating a US federal-funded research project.
