Principal Scientist, biology project lead and electrophysiology team leader. Leader of internal discovery projects.
The team use a variety of techniques including automated high throughput (Qube-384) and manual patch clamp to quantify potency and understand the mechanisms of drug action. I am passionate about pushing our technology forward and have a keen interest in extracting new parameters to guide drug discovery such as the kinetics and thermodynamics of compound interactions.
My training was centered around ion channel biophysics and pharmacology using voltage and current clamp recording as a functional assay of ion channel activity to elucidate the relationships between structure, function and drug interactions.
