Ronald's research interests lie at the intersection of 3D computer vision and computer graphics. Specifically, his research is focussed on building the necessary algorithmic frameworks to capture faithful 3D representations of the world in realtime. The core aspects include:
Better 3D representations (eg. generative models and neural fields)
Embedding physics knowledge in the learning process (eg. multi-view geometry, light transport, raycasting)
Better optimization techniques for learning and fitting models in realtime
