Dr. Rehmani is an author/editor of the books Transportation and Power Grid in Smart Cities: Communication Networks and Services (published by John Wiley, UK, 2017), Emerging Communication Technologies based on Wireless Sensor Networks: Current Research and Future Applications (CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group, USA, 2015), and Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks: Applications, Architectures, and Challenges (IGI Global USA, 2014). He has published 86 journal papers (total impact factor of 493.808), 14 book chapters and over 10 international conference papers. He is the founding member of IEEE Special Interest Group (SIG) on Green and Sustainable Networking and Computing with Cognition and Cooperation.
He has received the MS Leading to PhD scholarship from Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. He received Best Researcher of the Year of COMSATS Wah Award in 2015. He received the CIIT's Research Productivity Award in 2014. He received the Appreciation Letter from Director CIIT, in 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2013 for his dedicated services to the CIIT. His main research interests include cognitive radio ad hoc networks, smart grid, cognitive radio based smart grid, wireless energy transfer, flying ad-hoc networks, wireless sensor networks, and mobile ad hoc networks.
