Bio
I am a PhD student in Computer Science working with Brendan O'Connor and the SLANG lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
My research focuses on improving natural language processing methods for computational social science applications with unstructured text data. I'm interested in developing better social measurements of text (e.g. extracting pragmatic signals, entities, relations, or events from text) and using these measurements in corpus-centered descriptive analyses, predictive tasks, and causal inference.
