个人简介
His research area is cognitive control and action selection. Dr. Koch has been associate editor of JEP: Learning, Memory & Cognition (2007-2012) and is currently member of the DFG Review Board. He receives continuous DFG funding, and currently he is coordinating a large scale national DFG Priority Program on Human Multitasking (PP 1772). He has published > 170 peer-review articles (including two comprehensive review papers in Psychological Bulletin) and > 20 chapters. His h-index is 34 (Web of Science; [h-index = 46 according to google scholar]).
My current research interests refer to the cognitive control mechanisms underlying human action. To this end, we use a diversity of multitasking paradigms (including dual-task and task-switching designs) to study task representations (mental "task sets") and how these map to action control. We understand the term action broadly to include language, so that our research agenda extends to bilingual control processes in speaking. In this research program, we aim at decomposing the notion of task set by isolating the effects of particular task-set components, and we explore issues related to modality-specific influences on attention and action.
