个人简介
Carsten Montzka (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in geography from the University of Bonn, Bonn, Germany, in 2007, with a focus on the integration of multispectral remote sensing data into nitrogen cycle simulations.,In 2004, he joined the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences: Agrosphere (IBG-3), Forschungszentrum Jülich, Jülich, Germany. Since 2007, he has been focused on passive microwave retrieval for soil moisture and the SMOS and SMAP missions. This includes product validation, modeling, and upscaling of surface soil moisture, coupling hydrological models with microwave emission models, multiscale model calibration, and data assimilation, and comparison with and integration of airborne remote sensing data. He is an alumnus of the Arab-German Young Academy for Sciences and Humanities, Berlin, Germany, and a Co-Leader of the CEOS Land Parameter Validation Subgroup on soil moisture.
