个人简介
Ben Parslew's academic background is in aerospace engineering, fluid dynamics and biomechanics. His research lies at the interface of engineering and biology, with particular interests in animal locomotion, unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics and computer animation. Some of the tools he has developed for analysing flapping-wing flight are available here.
Ben was awarded the EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship in 2011, and then worked as a Research Associate in MACE, funded by BAE Systems. In 2013, Ben was appointed as an honorary lecturer in MACE to contribute to Aerospace Engineering taught courses. In 2015 he was promoted to the position of Lecturer and in 2018 was promoted to senior lecturer in Aerospace Engineering. At Manchester he has taught courses on modelling & simulation, flight mechanics, and UAV design. In 2020 Ben was an adjunct professor at Chulalongkorn University, teaching courses on Biomimetics and Experimental Aerodynamics.
