am a research scientist in the domain of Ubiquitous Computing. My research focuses on ubiquitous computing where I leverage human behavioural patterns to design human-centric systems; and Human Computer Interactions (HCI) where I aim to uncover the perception of users’ interaction with such systems.
Previously, I have investigated the propagation of media content (videos, music, etc.) in delay tolerant networks, that is networks of devices such as mobile phones spontaneously formed through regular and habitual encounters of their users. My research brought together knowledge from both social networks, where I borrowed from the field of social media studies to model user mobility patterns and interests, and telecommunications, where I relied on freely available short-range communication interfaces such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Specialties: Ubiquitous Computing, Urban Crowd-sourcing, Smart Cities, VGI, Big Data, Mobile Content Delivery networks.
