He was a postdoctoral researcher at Institute of New Media and Communications, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, from March 2013 to August 2013, and at Qualcomm Institute, California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology, University of California, San Diego, CA, USA, from September 2013 to January 2015. He is now an assistant professor at School of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Chonnam National University, Gwangju, Korea, from March 2015. His research interests include low-density parity-check codes, coding theory, coding for NAND flash memory, coding for DNA storage, coding for distributed computing/storage, communications systems and signal processing, machine learning, compressed sensing, network information theory, and network coding.
